This film is about who we are as the human race, and that is a singular consciousness that has tricked itself (for the purpose of the story) into thinking that there are others. This is done with props such as human bodies that are inhabited by individuated facets of consciousness and experience-gathering. These multitudes then tell the story of the eventual triumph of love over all obstacles. Not love of an "other", but love of the One that we are.

This film reaches BEHIND the archetypes into what we really are.

Saw it with my girl. It was cool but it was the first time in awhile I walked into a movie with no prior knowledge of what I was bout to see.

My girl only knew cuz she heard of the book.

The only suspect scene in the entire THREE hour movie is two dudes kissing for about 2-3 seconds. The rest of the time it's just one man writing letters to his lover. The movie is not even about that though. It's six different stories, that jump back and forth, all different time periods, all with the same actors (sometimes unrecognizable), but each story relays in to the next story that follows it. I know people who haven't seen it yet are giving it the face, and it's not an easy movie to watch, but once you figure out what's going on, it's a pretty good movie. And whoever did the makeup for this movie has to win the Oscar.

The marketing for the movie has been basura. Nobody seems to even know what the fukk it's about.

And there in lies the problem. Not only that but even when you read descriptions online, its still hard to tell what the hell is going on. That being said, I still want to check it out to see what its about.

I dont know what was up with the promo for this, I never saw anything on TV about it but my dad did so I went to see it with him... When I saw the runtime I was like and I went in prepared to go to sleep but it started off interesting enough. By the time I got to the middle of the movie i was more like and I didnt want to miss another second of it. You really have to pay attention to appreciate it, but its good and I dont normally like this kind of movie... Some of the makeup is though

This furthers my belief that the W Brothers(or sister??) were helped out tremendously with the first Matrix movie

they were, trust me. their script was heavily edited and they definately had oversight, they dont anymore, and you get trash like ninja assassin, speed racer, v for vendetta (no that shyt was not good)
