Because A LOT of those players do save and invest their money and can live off their rookie deals :snoop:

NFL life style is crap compared to MLB/NBA....A star NFL player will be cut and sent to the streets asap (Desean Jackson) but a cat like Amare is still in the league....So you'd be foolish to think that an NCAA football player with pro-potential shouldn't go pro first chance he gets...Look at Gurley he went from a likely top 15 pick to hopefully a 3rd rd pick....I bet you he regrets coming back.

Injuries happen in the NFL but Clowney did what he should of....He wouldn't of been the 1st overall pick if he had gotten multiple injuries his Junior year due to playing hard...I can't knock the brother at all. I would of done the same.

The point of going pro and playing in the NFL is to make as much money as you can. You really think Clowney's goal was to come in the NFL get that rookie contact and be like :blessed: I'm set for life? :rudy:
this is stupid nikka didnt play hard because he wasnt getting paid
look at all these nikkas getting crazy injuries lattimore coulda been a first round pick but look what happened to him
college is leaching off these nikkas they dont give a fukk about u... you get hurt all you gon get is an espn special in 10 years talking bout "what coulda been"
if u dont wanna play hard dont... get your money still was the top pick

It's the irony of it all. He didn't give 100% his final year and even tried to talk about wanting to leave for draft early for fears of getting hurt. Then he gets hurt in week 1. Now he has to get major knee surgery. He's a walking mash unit.

Breh.. he got paid as opposed to ending up in Lattimore's situation. The irony and everything else you're trying to bring up are irrelevant. He will be okay. As a rush end playing on the other side of JJ Watt he will have a 10 sack season by 2016-17. The Texans, although he is an investment, would much rather exhibit patience and allow him to return to his previous form. This is football homey, injuries are a guaranteed. Not if but when. With the advancements in medicine and rehab therapy he will be okay.
