The point of going pro and playing in the NFL is to make as much money as you can. You really think Clowney's goal was to come in the NFL get that rookie contact and be like :blessed: I'm set for life? :rudy:

I know you're a Michigan stan and nobodies perfect, but I know you're not that stupid. An NFL's players goal is to A. get that big contract which comes when they reup like Watt just did and B. maximize the most earning potential from their final big contract before they get offered league minimums like DeMarcus Ware just did.

Didn't realize his career was over. :ehh:

How does not playing hard in order to avoid injury IN COLLEGE negatively impact his chances of getting a big contract in the NFL four years later :dwillhuh:?

It's the principle. He didn't give max effort and loafed to protect his body, then turns around and gets hurt his first NFL game. And not just a sprain. He got a torn MCL and a possible torn meniscus. He might be out for the year. And he's a edge rusher. He's gonna be one year behind. The first pick. It might take a while before he reaches his potential and could affect his first contract. Karma. If his goal was to come in and be an all time great and go to pro bowls and get 15 sacks a year, this is a huge setback. He had high expectations. It's not just about the money.

:usure: :patrice: Because just a couple posts ago you said this.

Once again what does not giving max effort in college have to do with right now? Are you suggesting he'd be perfectly healthy now if he had risked his health last year? If so I would sure love to hear your basis for that. :heh:

Fixed for the IRS, State Taxes, and Agent Fees. :troll:

And don't forget house note, car note, and miscellaneous shyt that will eat through most of it by the time is rookie deal is done. The family members, the poppin bottles in the club.

nikkas act like NFL players save and invest their money and are set for life off those rookie deals.

How does this relate to his college days again?

It's the irony of it all. He didn't give 100% his final year and even tried to talk about wanting to leave for draft early for fears of getting hurt. Then he gets hurt in week 1. Now he has to get major knee surgery. He's a walking mash unit.

Because A LOT of those players do save and invest their money and can live off their rookie deals :snoop:
