He might be the only coach with a platform this big really showing us how dumb the young generation really is, alot of other gloss over it to "protect" them, shyt is lame

Jeff was a consistent 15/6 guy as a starter. They have no sense of reality and how hard it is to do that. They won’t even see Mook’s heights yet alone what Jeff did. They have no idea how hard it is to make the league.

What part did you disagree with?

I didn’t agree with the part where he mentioned Shai and others surpassing our guys due to their understanding of the game. A lot of Shai’s development came over here. He’s an AAU kid too. He brought up why we don’t have an American favorite for MVP but we’ve got a great batch of young American talent coming up in Coop, Ant, Booz, AJ, Darryn. shyt looks worse for us rn cause Ja and Zion didn’t become the GUYS.

Yeah Jeff kept it all the way real. I enjoyed his insight, also I agree with you on him naming some guys who might not be American but still developed over here SGA, he mentioned Jamal Murray too. And as far as the discussion for the future of American basketball talent, funny enough Gil had a great point. He said there's 450 players in the league, most of that 450 is made up of American players, yes the top 5 guys right now are foreign players but we will still make up a large majority of the overall talent in the league right now and in the future. I don't really think we have much to worry about. Even now, yeah Ja and Zion didn't work out but we don't emphasize guys like Cade, JB, Tatum (when healthy), Maxey, Mitchell, etc.

The thing about Shai and Canadians in general is it's really the top of the top getting through that you guys are seeing where as you still have to wade through every American. I remember years ago bringing a team to a tournament outside of Chicago and playing beating a team and most of the kids on it had D1 scholarships. But I wouldn't say anybody on my team was close to a D1 player. My PG went to a prep in Atlanta and came right back at the end of the year. The numbers are kind of skewed. I'd assume it's kind of similar with other countries.
