I think vince would want him to win( I think vince really liked him since in several past interviews they both had those crazy sleeping patterns and would be texting each other late at night about wrestling .he's still kind of a wwe product and it makes them look more legit to be like cm punk as a novice went to the biggest stage for mma and succeeded but you can't have random mma guys come over and do the Same

Yeah thats what I was thinking. Doesn't look good for your "longest reigning champ in the modern era" to go fight for real and immediately get destroyed.

At the same time, Punk is the last guy they're ever gonna let keep the name he came in with, and its specifically because of situations like this.
