He can always commentate. Every one in this thread knows damn well they'll welcome him with open arms.

Hope you're right. I've got a lot of time for Punk, but he's in danger of fumbling his whole career at the moment.

Tbh, I'm a Punk fan too. I'd still like him to win his MMA debut and come back with the Lesnar push... I just doubt he's capable at this point.

It'd be a great way to bury the hatchet. We all know Vince is a heartless troll so Phil can look at this as a way to be the bigger man. Brock vs. CM in the future or even cm vs ko before him and Heyman take over commentary would be gold. Side note no idea why Heyman has no role in booking

Punk is too full of hubris to ever come back or admit that he was wrong.

Yep, that's the way I see it.

Punk continually screws Punk.

Could've left on good terms even after all the fukkery.. everyone knows if there's green in it, Vince doesn't hold grudges... but Punk is a born bridge burner and way to proud to hook back up.

:yeshrug:

Not long term when there's money at stake.

Obviously he does it short term and when people are never going to earn another buck, but all the Hogan reintroductions? Making right with Warrior and Bret? Vince values the almighty dollar over anything anyone's ever done to him.

Punk being too proud is exactly right. I think he'd look into every other entertainment opportunity before he humbled himself into coming back to WWE.

Definitely not impossible from Vince's point of view, though, because it would be money even if Punk loses badly in MMA.

I really don't think an MMA loss hurts his pro wrestling marketability. When you can talk like Punk can, it's easy to spin an unsuccessful UFC attempt into a WWE program. The simple fact that he even tried MMA is marketable in itself.

If Bret can go back...there's a possibility Punk can go back too. I mean, Bret's beef with Vince was way more serious than Punk's beef with Vince, and those two managed to bury the hatchet somewhat, even though HitGOAT is pretty much a mark for himself...way more than Punk could ever be.

Of course, what you say is valid too, and people are different, Punk may very well be far too proud to go back, but I wouldn't rule it out just yet.

Punk will be back in the E when its all said and done. Not even full time either but just back in some capacity.

Not saying this as an overreaction but just dont see dude really cutting it.
how much is he worth? i know he's supposed to be writing some comic shyt, but whatever. he has a lot of pride, but if his money isnt long, he can come back. they always can come back. *see bret

When was this?

Edit: nevermind, this was around 2013 vs the Shield. Picturing those 3 together is kinda weird anyway.

I like Punk but he seems like the type to hold a grudge against family members and take it to the grave

Vince would welcome him back and Trips & Steph will be salty about it, but if it makes business sense it's gonna happen. Austin walked out on the company twice, Punk ain't committed a crime or done anything crazy. If Hulk could testify against Vince and be welcomed back, Punk will be welcomed back.
