I mean, it kinda makes sense.

At first, his AEW stint was him being the most motivated in a decade, wanting to prove a point AND wanting to show Vince/WWE what they missed.

Once things went south with The Elite, it was a long ass journey realizing how pointless it all is and that he was better off cashing a huge check and having fun, which he found in WWE.

I never thought dude could change and everything seems to point to him finally growing the fukk up in this new WWE run. Good for him :manny:

What do you really remember from this wwe run of his though?

The SVS return of course, The Drew feud but other than that nothing really hit like that for me.

Feel like the Seth feud could've and should've been all time great like the MJF/Drew feuds.

The Cena feud was TRASH. Teased feuds/matches and with Cody, Roman, KO, etc. and absolutely nothing has come from it in what like 3 years now?

I agree with you his WWE hasn't been memorable at all. I'm just saying that it makes sense why that is the case. What made the guy special was taking shyt personally and waaay too seriously, but his AEW run ended in disaster because of that attitude as well. So he just realized it was better to get paid and be comfortable and that's what this WWE run is :manny:

"You can't stop me from winning the Royal Rumble. Seth can't stop me from winning the Royal Rumble. Cody can't stop me from winning the Royal Rumble."

He was dropping bars weeks after coming back. Also, his promo the night after Elimination Chamber was classic Punk. One of the few promos from this run that I would put with his 2010s stuff. :yeshrug:

Lowkey, he fukked MJF over twice. Both post All Out 22 and the devil storyline would have been heat for their second feud between the two.

Which didn't make any sense for him to do. He was dealing with The Vision and tried entering MITB to stop Seth from winning. He lost his qualifying match because The Vision interfered, and wasn't even at MITB. Seth won the briefcase with nobody stopping him. No reprisal, no interference. Not even a backstage segment with him reacting to it.

Then two nights later, Punk magically reappears and just says he's there to stop Cena. He literally forgot about the feud he was already in because the Saudis wanted him to face Cena. It's not even like Cena was talking shyt about Punk for months and he finally decided to respond. It was set up haphazardly and then forgotten about as soon as it was over.

I blame TK for that. Dude should've put Mark Henry and Big Show to use (let alone just be a fuccking man) and never have a reason to be scared of anybody :smh:

Yea this run sucks. He was actually motivated and a difference maker in AEW. In WWE he’s just another one of the handful of plug & play main eventers that are clearly a tier below Roman & Cody.

The MJF feud, The month long Samoe Joe feud, the Eddie Kingston feud and the back and forth with Moxley were top tier.
