I'm not really that much more knowledgeable than you breh. I know nothing about boxing and I've watched a few BJJ competitions, but I've only really wrestled for a couple of years in high school.

From what I can see, Punk looks pretty bad on the ground. I don't know if he's really that bad or he's just fukking around...probably a combination of the two. Mickey looks way more athletic than Punk. Mickey obviously looks like he's miles ahead of Punk when it comes to jiu jitsu, but he is a brown belt and Punk still looks like he's starting to learn BJJ.

I mean you just said everything. He looks bad. He's a 37 who's not athletic, doesn't have a base or history of being athletic trying to compete at the highest level. I mean just looking at the videos you can see who the faster, more dynamic fighter is. This whole ordeal was obviously a bucket list goal that went too far

The thing is people to me are somewhat overrating Mickey gall ( doesn't mean he won't win ) they are acting like he's fighting prime GSP or something. Like they said in the show what happens if he can't KO or submit punk right away ? If punk can hang for a round it's gets interesting

I haven't really read media about Gall or Punk too be honest, but I would assume the focus is on Punk's weaknesses rather than Gall's strengths. So it is more about Punk being a huge underdog given his abilities vs Gall being an elite talent.

Gall being a talent at all is more than what Punk is. He doesn't have to be an elite talent. He could be a complete amateur and still be more of a talent than Punk.
