Man Twitter better hope punk loses in devastating fashion, even if he hangs in to a decision it's cause it talk that shyt. I'm gonna be amongst the ranks of rubbing it in on "purists". The same folks who loved pride and all of its spectacles are crying that a "pro wrestler" is desecrating their precious pure sport

Irregardless of his opponent though? Wouldn't that have to be part of the equation if you want to go in on people?

I don't know who said it, but breh said he should fight sage....
Now that sage took an L, this would be an opportune time, lol.(obviously dana wouldn't book it)

Yup doesn't matter who IMO based on how Twitter is treating him like some unathletic fan/bum who lucked up on a UFC contract. He should be an easy kill for Gall if you go by social media

That said Sage v Punk would have caused utter Twitter mayhem  I woulda gladly watched that one.

Yeah, where's the numbers?

You know every champ since Punk left has drawn worse ratings, right?

the numbers are out there. here are a few examples

Is CM Punk the Reason for WWE's Falling Ratings?
"As the ratings of Raw, WWE’s long-running flagship show, continue to fall at an alarming rate, attention will fall squarely on CM Punk. He’s the WWE champion, after all"

WWE: 10 Lowest Drawing WWE Champions Of All Time
"In analyzing Punk as a drawing champion, initially he started hot. You can understand why … the pipe bomb promo was one of the greatest sells ever for a PPV. Punk and Cena did 195,000 worldwide buys for Punk’s big moment in Chicago. Summerslam 2011 however, Punk’s first big match in his new main event role, saw a drop off in business. The 2010 event had drawn 349,000 buys whereas with Punk main eventing in 2011 it clocked in at 296,000 buys."

Monday Night Raw ratings immediately went up in January 2013 when Punk dropped the title.
Punk's 434 day championship reign in 2012 started off hot, but fell flat ending near the 2.0 range.

The drawing as champ logic is always a bit tricky to use.
If they dont put you as the main event from the jump that has a hindrence.
Also it always depends on who fight as champ. Triple H is the second highest drawing champ in WWE history but that fails to tell you that during that run he was doing house shows and PPVs vs The Rock, who clearly was the draw there.

So pretty much you're just posting links to numbers and then writing conclusions and statements that are not supported by your own links. Once again ratings were much higher when Punk had the belt a few years ago than they have been for a long time now. Cena, Sheamus, Rollins, Orton, Reigns, HHH...all champs during the most recent decline where ratings have consistently broken record lows.
