I dont think the mic thing is close at all...Punk only has one money promo. That's it. The contract signing with Cena and Cripple H ganging up on him was him telling jokes and popping a rating. Not even really a youtube sensation. Rock was so enthralling in his prime that he ran his mouth for 25 minutes and drew a 8.4...and they automatically put his ass in the main event with Cripple H and Austin shortly after. Michael Jordan shyt. Sugar Ray Robinson shyt. Punk had mediocre feud after feud during his overrated and unsuccessful 400 day reign they bragged about.

Were you watching during the Attitude Era? Because Rock while not the most technical worker ever, was always one of the most CONSISTANT performers they ever had. Rock has tons of classics, more WWE classics in his 7 year run than Punk has had in his 7 year run (Punk would probably have the edge if you include his ROH work but Punk also has more years wrestling). When you put them against mutual opponents (HHH, Jericho, Kane, Big Show) Rock at his peak wrestled against, Rock had the better match with them, outside of Undertaker.

And to get to the core of it, Punk really only had 3 great fueds, against Hardy, Cena and Taker. The first few years of Punk in the E were fairly forgettable. I'm saying if Rock had as many years performing wrestling as many of the people he is compared to, he'd blow them out of the water. The fact he has the arguably GOAT resume with 7 years and some change in the business is MIND BLOWING.

I'm including his ROH/IWA-MS stuff, without that just due to the fact that Punk didnt get much shine his first few years, I'd go Rocky, but if we talking entire body of work vs entire body of work, its Punk

Punk at his best on the mic doesn't even mean what Scott Hall or Jake was on the mic yet alone the Rock who was calling Kliq members queers for his own amusement. And the Fully Loaded 99 promo from Rock basically shyts on Punk's forgotten run. Punk has one memorable promo in his main event run that Everyone remembers..the pipe bomb shyt. And then when that got dissected, it was just about a guy wanting to win all the time and make more than what he was worth. He didn't fill up arenas, he didn't revolutionize the business like Rock and Austin, and he admitted he was a failure on his best friend's own shyt. There is no one in their right mind that has legitimate knowledge of pro wrestling/sports entertainment or whatever u want to call it that would put a quitter and non draw over a man who is bigger than Andre the Giant in history. Punk was never on the Macho Man level...the Eddie level...the Andre level..the Flair level yet alone the most successful superstar in wrestling history...the Rock. That's why he's trying remake himself in 2015 as a 38 year old MMA flunkie instead of headlining a Dallas 100k WM 32 like Rock will.

TSC is jiggaboo paradise for women hating, hating mixed wrestlers, and acting like Morrison has tools Shelton never did. C00ning at its finest so of course they would claim an inferior was better than he really was.

And these cats are completely avoiding 2012 when Punk got sonned to death by Eve and fans happily getting behind Bryan and AJ.
