my mom always taught me shyt outside of what was taught in school.
For the most part, in public school, you’re basically programmed to memorize shyt for tests and that’s it.
As far as white supremacy, the damage has already been done. You’re talking about 100 years of false doctrine. There are many atrocities that have been erased from history altogether.
my thing is, in terms of education, as a people, I want us to be versed and educated in shyt that will help us grow economically and culturally. White education goes well beyond public school.
the history of European imperialism is well documented and can be seen in our everyday lives. Some of this is common sense. Not all white people are ignorant to this. Some feel bad and understand where we’re coming from. They understand they were born with an unfair advantage. The rest simply don’t give a shyt. They are only out for themselves and they teach their offspring to be like minded.

whether they teach it or don’t teach it, white parents aren’t going to tell their children to give up any advantage they have. It’s kill or be killed metaphorically speaking.
The only way to make a lasting impact is the become more financially literate, become more educated. Build more businesses. Own more real estate and banks.

I don’t necessarily think people should feel guilty for anything they didn’t personally do. That’s like saying I should feel guilty and responsible for another black man committing a crime.
But if history is taught accurately, and they feel bad..
I’m not about making white people feel bad for being white. I’m about them knowing the effects of history, the system, and how certain words and treatment are condescending towards us.
I also think pragmatically, and know they aren’t going to just give up anything to benefit us, and ending racism isn’t beneficial to them. They know on a truly equal playing field, they aren’t always the best, and wouldn’t be on top. This is why I think it’s pointless to keep having these conversations, articles, protests, etc. because this isn’t a case of them not understanding. They understand what’s happening. They play dumb because it doesn’t benefit them to change anything.
My thoughts mirrors the posters post above post, the reason is I have met way too many black folks that blame racism for every ill in their life at every roadblock they met.....
I was raised to work twice if not three-four times as hard because of racism that seems fall on deaf ears now today.....
