I don't think he'll go back to the WWE unless they let him continue to do all the other bullshyt he's doing like his reality show and Go Big Show. I bet he'll be back in AEW by the end of the year :francis:

i definitely do believe he could be  and it could be TK's belief that it would get over as the BIGGEST SWERVE OF ALL and be a great work shoot.

Again, im saying "i could be wrong" for insurance purposes, but I think this is a work, straight up

This is a WWE-like mentality. Were "working the fans" is somehow a goal even though there's no story nor real payoff behind it. If this is indeed a work then TK deserves the shytstorm that would come his way.

I don't believe he is this damn stupid, at least not at this stage of his booking career.

Yep, with Brandi making a last-minute 2021 submission on NYE with her “black b*tch” promo. :snoop:
With the tshirt merch with "Black bytch" to go with it too
:lolbron:

I absolutely did.

  • The work is a storyline to play out on their second season of the reality show.
  • In on it are Tony, Cody, Brandi, Goldust, and people at TNT/TBS who are producing the show
  • The dirt sheets are being worked and being fed info that they're leaving AEW, and in fact they are MOST LIKELY doing a pillman/wcw "leaving the company" angle only he actually is 'coming back' unlike pillman
  • On the show the 'struggle to find himself' and where to go, whether to leave AEW and go to hollywood or that other place is a season long story
  • then he returns as the triumphant AEW he thinks he is ( :mjlol: )
I could be wrong but nothing about this seems legit to me and it seems the type of bullshyt Cody thinks is great
This seems beyond far fetched breh. C'mon.

I think we're just not used to wrestling companies handling departures of major stars this way so when we see an official announcement, we think work.

If this was a work. whatever the payoff is, it's not worth fans feeling played in this manner.

I suspect they're taking the same approach they would if a major player left the Jags or their EPL team. Statement comes off very NFL PR, perhaps cuz the same PR person for Jacksonville also works for AEW for all I know,
Idk saw one breakdown that it's a work and the payoff is Cody touring the indies making a faction with Matt Cardona etc. With Cody goin around saying how underappreciated he was AEW etc. The end/payoff is an invasion angle on AEW.

That sounds like it could be fun..........

But I honestly think it's a case of egos/wresling philosophy(Focus on Wrestling vs Promos/Storylines) and Cody said fukk it, Ill take the money.

I believe this is a work orchestrated by Tony Khan, Cody, Brandi, Goldust, TBS/TNT, and is a storyline in season 2 of their reality show. He will 'leave' aew and might even show up in NWA, just to come back to AEW and expect to get a heroes return. - Ed MOTHERfukkING G

Fair play. We'll see.

All of this...plus who would Cody be feuding with in WWE?

What would Brandi do except be Cody's valet? Get wins on Sasha, Bayley, Chuck, Becks or Rousey??

I'm with Gizzle on this being a huge work and a stepping stone to Cody gifting himself the AEW Title and being the MAGA heel Cokeboy Cody character that he's been teasing for a while now
Fix that for ya.

KO and Cody are close, and his new deal is apparently for $3 million a year as his downside (# Meltzer mentioned on WOR), so Cody likely saw some huge $.

I do doubt USA wants his reality show, but Peacock just announced a massive budget for programming in 2022. It'll land there.
