I’m pointing out a fact about the board and Cody and I’m emotional? You got all that from a few words.:mjlol:

Cody isn’t a “huge marketing asset.” Not even touching half of the “Bella Empire.” :what:

Cody was one of the Elite and “founders” of AEW . So him leaving is a big deal

It’s a lot of posturing to downplay his departure but it’s not a small deal right now like some people are trying to insist. Shane left only a couple weeks ago and there was endless clickbait and scuttlebutt about it and it was all supposed to be this deeply controversial departure that would “ripple through WWE for years to come” even though he’s been MIA from the company, atleast on the surface anyway.

Cody leaves AEW and it’s soft balled by comparison in terms of response. Cody might not be a Kahn in the same way that Shane is a McMahon, but him leaving is just as big and potentially could be bigger depending on how this all goes. One of the EVPs, pretty much their de facto promo and PR guy, and a quote unquote, “Leader of the revolution” walks out the door and it’s just another departure?

Nah.

It's a big deal optics wise, but otherwise no it really isn't a big deal for day to day AEW. Cody was already in his own pocket universe for a year or more and had been taking weeks/months long leaves multiple times over the past 2 years and his absence was never felt or noticed until he'd pop back up and get booed for showing up again. It'd be different if he was an intricate part of multiple storylines like at the start of AEW, but that hasn't been the case in quite some time with his angles.

Steiner called it :wow:

Damn I missed out not watching Wresting in the 2000s :mjcry:

Cody going to WWE would be hilarious because Vince is a grudge holding old b*stard who would happily pay Cody some exorbitant contract just to be able to make him look like a clown on TV for as long as it makes Vince laugh.

Vince is a grudge holder? :heh:

Vince prolly the most non grudge holding business man/owner I can think of :gucci:

Biggest mistake he will make is signing that WWE contract, Vince will send him to gulag :wow:
That would be the wrong thing to do tho.
If the WWE wants to recruit some AEW stars down the line like MJF they need to treat Cody good. Otherwise it would make it look bad from anyone to join them in the future if they know they're gonna be jobbing or getting humiliated there.
He knows what he's doing, if he demanded a raise to AEW and didn't get it, he probably has a big offer from Vince on the table.

147 post since 2017?

What is it about AEW that brings out these dormant/sleeper accounts? :mjlol:

I'm mostly a lurker. I've started to post more frequently pretty recently. And I was an AEW fan until I felt they did Swole dirty. So a lot of my posts have been about that, because I thought and still think that was foul. I don't watch WWE much although I support Big E and Lashley, but their creative is wack.
