From Wade Keller's podcast

Keller continued, “So Cody wanted to be I think more involved with being seen as sort of an equal to Tony and it became clear over time this was Tony’s company, and you know, the EVPs had their titles and The Bucks and Kenny by all accounts are happy with their role as EVPs and they have some latitude. Kenny gets to work with the women and The Bucks get to kind of do their thing with their friends and get to show off their ring style. Tony is pretty hands off and open to their ideas about certain pockets in the company that they have. But I think Cody did desire to be something more substantial. Danielson and Punk changed that dynamic a bit and I think Cody knew from experience if you’re not the top paid guy, you’re not going to get pushed like the top paid guy, you’re not gonna have the leverage that comes with that. He was as much if not more than anyone the founder of this movement of AEW and Brandi put out public statements on Twitter about this and said nice things. I have not heard that there was a big blow up or that there’s a ton of hurt feelings with Cody and Tony. But, obviously, you know, it’s business.”

On a side note, AEW needs to try and keep Dustin around as a trainer. He's done a phenomenal job training the women.

i dont think hhh takes this match since he wouldnt be going over :manny:

I don't think HHH is taking any matches for a while given his physical health with heart surgery. For his sake, he needs to take a step back and fully recover health-wise before even thinking of whether he should see a doctor to clear him for return to the ring.

Total ego thing. Punk and Danielson coming in I do think changed things. I do think that Tony Khan has been listening to Jim Cornette. The Bucks and Omega, while EVPs, know that it's really in name only, and enjoy the comfort of stability. They're getting paid, they get to be grounded a bit and not be on the road for the majority of the year. Cody wants more, which is evident because he's the one with two shows outside of wrestling. In the end I do hope that this is all just a work. If he does go to WWE I hope he treats it as show business, and negotiates him being pushed as a top guy with control of his character. I also never thought that Cody would never go back to WWE. That if he was to go back, he would have enough of a name and star power to have some leverage. So if he goes back that's how he needs to act when he's at the negotiation table.

so the guy so driven to prove a plethora of people at the WWE wrong that it actually plays a part in creating another company or at the very least helped fuel the embarrassing tribal nature of the fans, were he looked like the figurehead and he expressed his dislike for the other company all over the show.. fast forward, he has some sort of falling out with Khan and as soon as the WWE show a little titty and he bounces but its not a big deal ??

all that just for some recognition, respect and money off of Vince.

I can't stand this lispy clown but this is funny as hell.

your man seen AEW turning into a mixture of old NXT meets Juggalo wrestling and got out of there.

more mid in MJF, and a couple others (hopefully one being Jade) will follow eventually.
