The ticket story was very questionable, especially when both shows booked the UBS arena and Tony claimed it was sold out despite pic/video proof of half the arena being empty.

Didnt see that proof ever and I wasnt at the LI show but I was at Grand Slam and it was legit sold out.

I like Cody but he took a gamble and I hope it works out for him because he def cant go back and be accepted by fans in AEW. But knowing this company, this is his peak.

I don’t see Cody going back to AEW, he played the Bucks and while AEW won’t suffer from losing Cody, the Bucks are hurt, but when you think about it, Cody was eventually gonna dip his toes back into WWE, that’s where he started and his father played a big part into developing the stars that are present in WWE.

Did Cody play em? Yeah. Was Cody being a carny? Yeah. Was Cody wrong for not being upfront about what his plans were? Yeah. That said, the Bucks got their first taste of how things really go in big time wrestling so this should be a learning lesson to them that there’s no friends in the industry and building a “revolution” is a fantasy, this is their wake up call.

Btw, I don’t blame Cody for going back to WWE at all and I think it was great decision on his part, he did a great job promoting and building AEW as well.

WWE audience is used to a product that doesn't evolve and adapt, so they'll have no problem playing along 6-8 months from now
