I was having a convo with roommates and some girls from the other dorm. It was like 17 of us in the hall living room celebrating the end of the semester and what not. K so the convo turns to men like all convos with women do..and it turned out some girl said she doesn't know why we're all in college because we could marry a rich guy if we were beautiful and never had to work. Nobody was offended but some of us objected and said we wanted our own shyt blah blah blah. I personally always thought most men don't care about a woman's education in fact even my dad said men don't care if a woman is on his level educationally or financially..just that that she's above his level physically. That's why I'm asking, I wouldn't even want a guy that didn't want me to bring my half to the label tbh and so did most of my friends. I wouldn't settle for a guy just cuz he's hot cuz hot doesn't pay the bills but I guess guys are different so that's why I'm asking.

Educated brothas care to answer?

of course i would prefer an educated woman....

but i cant discriminate against the ones who dont. our sexist society still encourages women to be docile and many of them are not encouraged/dont have the opportunity to pursue an education

Hold up, all convos with women turn to men? You do sound like you are rambling.

Discounting someone because of preconceived notions based on anything is stupid. If you get to know them and find that they aren't about shyt and have no interest in expanding their horizons then yeah.

Educated is a broad ass term anyway. If you were to meet a man with several degrees in engineering and you had a business or liberal arts degree, would you be considered on the same level educationally?

You do, however, want someone who challenges you and your perspective on things. Just cause you know some things better than they do does not make you any wiser or special than them.

This metaphor is kind of off. No good hunter wants the easiest kill.

Most men will take someone who is dependent on them, it makes them feel more superior.

I only have some college work complete, so I'm not fully "educated" like the guys in your scenario, but I love a smart woman. Doesn't even have to have a degree. Could be someone with a good head on her shoulders. I don't expect her to support me or vice versa. It should be an equal 100% and 100%. Rather have a smart woman than some dumb moron who won't contribute.

I wouldnt mind a woman on my level or close to it education wise. She doesn't have to be a doctor but a female who's a NP, PA, or even a lawyer or something of the sort would be fine. Not to mention the dual incomes would be a plus. Granted a woman doesn't have to own an advanced degree to be educated, I can't see me marrying a female who would struggle to help our kids with their algebra homework if I'm not around.

Now if she looks like Mya or Kim K and can fry the hell out of some chicken.... :mjpls:

I like intelligent women with active minds. Not necessarily "educated" women since I know plenty of "educated" women with dormant minds.

Also, its a turnoff when a chick talks about how "educated" she is though.....seems self-congratulatory and extra.

Peace

the word "education" is a bullshyt word most the times when it comes to dating so its pointless, its just a code word for STABILITY

Imagine turning down prime beyonce cause she never graduated college even though she was sittin on millions :mjlol:

Imagine a female turning down Idris Elba cause he didnt get his degree but chose to be a millionaire actor instead :mjlol:
