Del Rio, IMO, has gotten way more from WWE than he ever should have. He's a decent midcard guy and is now being pushed accordingly. From '11 thru '13, they CONSTANTLY pushed this dude to world title and WWE title feuds, gave him the title on a couple occasions, and he was never that good. I can't think of a moment in time he called for the push he got.
