What's happening here is the actual contents are no doubt leaking out to folks on the Hill. And they're realizing trump being trump is overplaying his hand in all this.
It won't sway his base but independents are watching realllly closely. They pretty much let the country know how they felt at midterms and this will just bring them out more.
