It is perfectly ok to enjoy Drake's music and not really caring about the writing. Since I first heard Drake, that's pretty much how I've received his music. He was never that special IMO, but from 2009-2018, he was consistently making bangers with the first disc of Scorpion being the last project of his that I really liked.
That was before all the recent reference leaks. Prior to that you could've argued the Quentin Miller stuff was just a one-off and he wrote most everything else. Either way it looks like Kendrick is going to respond anyway going off rumors.
