Aldo looked very mediocre in this fight. I know he hasn't looked as good as his WEC days, but to say he's looked like ass in his fights is downright dumb, come on breh. He beat the former LW champ Frankie more decisively than Bendo did. KO'd Mendes with ease, @ saying that was 'luck'. Beat Florian easily, although his performance wasn't up to his usual par.

If his foot was broken, he has a legitmate case for this fight. But with others? The Hominick fight where he gassed horribly and let him smash his face for a full round. The dull Florian fight. That Mendes KO was fluky because he was grabbing the cage. Faded again against Edgar. I just missed the Aldo that had Cub leaking on the mat and Faber on crutches for weeks

nikka you crazy. He pressed the action(a rarity for Machida) and countered anytime Davis came in. He completely dominated the standup. Did you not see Phil's busted up ass lip after the fight? He didn't dominate like others said but its no question he did enought to win

Machida's cardio has always impressed me, he stays making wrestlers work for every scramble and you never really see him gas out.

I really hope Phil's striking catches up with his athleticism soon, if he even gets proficient he could do some things. Lyoto is not easy to keep on the ground when you get him there and Phil did that


I think takedowns are too highly scored especially if you don't really do much with them. I like both cats so I ain't mad either way, it wasn't robbery or anything but I don't think Machida lost that fight.

I don't know, perhaps our definitions are different, but to me walking forward is not action. Throwin' kicks and/or attempting takedowns is action.

I think GSP is right when he states that a fight should not end until somebody is submitted, TKO'd or KO'd...

People dancing around each other and calling it "strategy"....You scared dude...

If fighters knew there was no end until somebody tapped out or got KO'd/TKO'd, the fights would be more exciting...
