You under estimating what human beings are willing to do to survive and put food on the table.
Do you have to be street thuggish to sell drugs?
1. This choice wasn't about survival.. you said you would do it rather than work a boring low level job.
2. You have to have some type of street in you to do any job that is illegal. This applies to EVERYTHING illegal. You can't call the police for help.. which is why robbery is so common. Its a safe link. Your plug gotta trust you won't snitch on him to get out of jail time. You gotta constantly assess who you can and can't trust. You gotta be able to take an L without letting it get you down. This isn't about using slang when you talk, wearing chains, sagging your pants etc. This is about having mental toughness and resilience in non-civilian situations
