Real ballers have assets to cover their liabilities. I wouldn't stunt at all i would just try to build wealth.
Good for you and I agree to a point but eventually if you doing right you have wealth then whats the excuse? Do you then buy something or you part of the billionaire Prius club which like @ATL said is faux humble stuff IMO. If we doing it like that why don't these humble cats just live in the hood why they at it lol. I think some don't care about cars even though they buy other ridiculous material things and some do it out of not making people feel bad about their place in life. I think its 50/50 on those two reasons

Cars are a reflection/extension of who you are and where you are in life. It does matter, but if everything else isn't on point it's moot obviously. When I have meetings with people and have engagements people know I'm serious and good at what I do.

This is a poor investment of money friend. Real ballers move in silence. One of my clients owns a chain of luxury food stores, dude makes well over 4 million a year, he drives a 2001 Honda Accord. Even if you wanted a nice newer car, you would arguably be better off looking at Audi, BMW, Lexus, Infiniti, or even a Porsche, a Bentley could put you in the poorhouse on maintenence alone.

:wow: and :to: at this powerful statement. The funny thing is that people with money when you stunt look at you like :snoop: and the people tryin' to get on the next level be like :myman: That's the f*cked up part about it. Anyway I passed on it, but there will always be someone richer than you I think, I think lookin' at it from the perspective of what richer people think isn't 100% correct, but such is life of up and comer :to: You can touch it, taste it, feel it, but you're just not there yet. :bryan:

You already know fam. My parents really didn't have the same type of money as the people I grew up around in my neighborhood. No where near it actually. But my Dad is a super spend thrift. He bought the condo I grew up in on a foreclosure tip, we lived in a shytty apartment for a few years until he found the right deal to pull the trigger on, then it took him another year to fix it up. And even to this day he only buys floor model appliances and furniture from the scratch and dent warehouse, and his spot is still nice, he got the same shyt everybody else got, he just paid a lot less for it. And he uses coupons for everything. Like growing up he never bought food that I wanted to eat, he just bought shyt that had a coupon for it. If it wasn't a coupon for it or if it wasn't on sale then he wouldn't buy it. The cashiers at Publix hate to see him in the line because they know he gonna have a fistful of coupons and he will use every last one of them. And dont let there be an issue with a price on something being wrong or not as advertised, because he will ask to speak to the manager over a 50 cent discrepancy. No bullshyt. I used to hate going to the store with him when I was kid, but now as an adult I totally understand why he did it.

And you can be a penny pincher and still stunt. I like nice shyt as much as the next nikka, but its a smarter way to do things. Patience is key. I got a closet full of Nikes, but I haven't paid full price for about 3/4 of them. nikka when I want a new pair of shoes I just lurk on Craigslist around the end of the month to the first of month and wait for nikka who over extended himself to sell his shyt for the low. Like those Jordan 1 Breds that came out a few months back, I caught a nikka selling a dead stock Jordan 1 DMP pack with the Breds and the Celtics 1's from '09 for $200. I kept the Breds for myself and I turned around and sold the Celtics and the double box for $250. So I basically made $50 on some shoes nikkas is paying $300 for right now. I literally just made this play a week ago. Yeah they not the 2013 release, but its the same fukking shoe. And shyt like this selvage denim trend that nikkas is on right now, I am not ashamed to say that I cop used jeans. Why buy a pair of Nudies or APC's for $200 that you gotta break in for 12-18 months when you can just buy some already broken in Nudies off eBay for $75?. I give a fukk if a nikka laugh at me, I got 0's in my bank account and I stay fresher than most nikkas who spend 2-3 times what I do on clothes. The only pair of Nikes I have payed full price for in the last year were those Flyknit Lunar 1's, and thats just cuz I had to have them.

I miss the one in SB :noah:. But back on topic, breh, there is so much wisdom in your post I don't know whether to :salute: or :to: I'm a stick with this part:

Patience is key.

only do it if you can have a daily driver with good gas mileage and you only use the gt for dates or on weekends heck i'd have the same attitude with the 645

when you can buy a car cash and own it outright its always better unless you can get like a 2-3% interest rate on the part your financing

maintenance with both cars is probably out of this world

you can probably get a new car fully loaded with a good 5 year warranty or pay off most of it and finance a small part of it

you can get the new vette stingray and be in the same situation as the gt but you will have a warranty and probably better maintenance issues down the line

the gt and beamer though probably are good seal the deal type cars on dates though

Trust me, if you could get the Bentley then get it. Getting a car like that is like going into another world-- the real world, where capitalism is king and the Golden Rule is the motto. The same people telling you not to get the Bentley will be the same ones jocking you when you get it. Whatever "problems" that the Bentley will bring you is nothing compared to the day to day joys of having the car. There are always answers and ways to solve just about any and every problem. People find ways around high maintenance costs all the time with every car under the Sun, you can do the same with yours.

The biggest thing that you would have to worry about is jealous lames, getting pulled over by police for no reason, ect. You'll become a light-weight celeb and with that comes cynicism and critics. However, all that is nothing compared to the results of you will get pulling up to the mall or the spot to "hunt". People know that making a move like this changes your life for the better, so they opt to use psuedo/reverse psychology to discredit your opportunity. Take it. It's that simple.

Buy whatever you want dog! You only live once and it might not be that long. At least you can say you did it. A lot of these broke fools trying to be smart with their money are still going to be broke when they're older still. No one knows the future. Don't have regret when you get older, don't wait to you get older to do things. I have an A8L, couldve gotten a bentley or CL5 or whatever. I sold my house a few months and came up. I have a nice car and I rent, am I stupid? You can't listen to broke people or CAC. We live a different life. I have no credit debt or student loans, with almost 70k instant cold cash and in the bank.

Stunt and smash these chickens! :myman:

@feelosofer why do you feel this way regarding real ballers moving in silence when they are the ones keeping luxury lines esp bigger ones like Bentley in business. I'm not trying to be funny either "stunters" ain't keeping these companies in business at all and we all know that. shyt I have only saw like a handful of local d boys in a Bentley or something on that level.

Dude is crazy. People always have these anedotal stories of supposed "millionaires" riding around in a 20 year old Camry's but the reality of the situation is that most rich folk ride around in LUXURY VEHICLES and SPORTS CARS. You can see this by simply driving around the nearest "wealthy neighborhood" in your town. Count the number of civics vs the numbers of benzes, beamers, and porches.

:ehh:

Honeslty i feel you. I recently aquired a Porsche, but before buying i had mad second thoughts on whether or not buying this car was the right thing to do. But ultimately i decided that i have worked hard and i deserve to treat myself, hence the reason i decided to cop. And although it costs a nice amount, the joy that i've recieved so far from riding it and will get from enjoying it in the future is literally priceless. As long as you have 6 months savings set aside, and you feel comfortable you'll be able to replace the cash you will spend to buy this car in a reasonable time frame (1-2 years) i say go for it.

The joy you'll get from driving it (especially if you live in a driving town), is priceless.

Speeds out in 911....
