Edit: and your “type” is probably going to be the common denominators of the people you dated/had relationships with in the past. All of my ex’s had things in common that I could say naturally developed my “type”, but stay flexible. You never know who/what you will miss

I mean, it's not really a debatable thing what I think looks better. I prefer/like women with short hair. I wasn't really opining on which look makes her look younger - and considering I'm in my 30s myself - "younger" isn't necessarily "better" for me.

In any case, I think she's cute, just a bit too skinny - which makes her look super fragile, but I wish her all the best and hopefully she finds the romantic interest she's seemingly looking for

I'm confused rather than defensive. I said I think she looks better with short hair - and you replied with "nah" and went on about younger/older. I then clarified that my post wasn't really a debate because I think she looks better with short hair and younger/older conversation wasn't the crux of my post nor of my views on beauty

clarifying and elaborating on stances tend to generally lead to understanding, but on the coli it's interpreted as defensive and adversarial. it's odd
