That "Front Camera Lens" thread had a lot of posters cracking jokes, and taking jabs at themselves. I know a lot of it was all fun and games, but seriously do you guys get compliments often, what type of people compliment you the most, and what do you do when you get them? Do you believe the compliments, question them, act on them, or just ignore them? This is for breh's and brehette's to answer.
I've noticed that men usually only compliment other men if something is serious, like he bought a new car or a house or something and it is unquestionably dope. They'll rarely tell another man he looks suave/nice in the event he does something sort of good, dresses up,etc.
But a woman, will actually tell an unnatractive/woman that he's/she's handsome/beautiful if he's/she's wearing a suit and tie/ dress.
The dude will look like an oversized land gnome but the "suit looks good" so they'll say he's handsome, when really he's just an ugly dude in a fancy suit, or the woman looks like a land whale, but they'll tell her she looks nice, "oh you're gorgeous", they'll fawn over the pictures or all congregate around her etc. Do the unnatractive people know, deep down, that these compliments are lies? I think they've go to. Someone needs drop knowledge on this one.
It's for this reason that compliments from women, towards me, usually fall on deaf ears. If they're out here telling female wildebeests and male neckbeard ogres that they look great, just because, how am I supposed to take them serious when they tell me "I'm handsome" or "suave" or "looking good"?
I always wear nice clothes, just because of my job, so I usually get compliments from mostly women, and I'll catch them looking sometimes( dudes be looking too which is why I stay off the north side
) but the compliments come pretty often.
What's you guys' input on compliments?
