aka those feline scratch-like joints on the sides of the abs right below the chest/arm pits?

I asked about these in Kasino's thread a few weeks back, but also wanted to hear what others had to say about it? Can these be obtained through workouts like chest press/shoulder press, or do they need to be specifically targeted? Thanks.

Its hit whenever you protract or upwardly rotate your scapula, so overhead movements and things like push-up plus will target them.

First and third pic are highlighting the external oblique. Second pic shows clear serratus insertions on the ribs as it forms a diagnal line from the nipple.

Alright. For the ripped external obliques look, will proper diet and oblique exercises like weighted side bends help?

Read somewhere that side bends are bullshyt and don't do nothing much for your obliques.

I do them with strict form with 40 pound dumbells. I'll let you know how sculpted they're looking when the excess fat is gone. Should be good to go by the end of September.

I'd go with rotational exercises for them. But yea, diet will ultimately make them pop.

destroy your obliques with these, sometimes i feel i overdid it because i ruined what could have been a slender taper by doing these so much early on
