9s are the perfect all purpose handgun. I keep one in the glove when I uber. I also own a 45 that stays in the basement. If you wanna carry something no need for anything bigger than a 9

I have a .40 S&W because that is what I trained with . The recoil isn't that bad, but is more harsh than a 9mm. I had a HK USP in 9mm.
My suggestion is to stick with one caliber and one gun. It's okay to have multiple guns, but it is best to get familiar with one handgun and practice with that handgun.
You don't want to be fumbling with a pistol while trying to survive a 7-Eleven armed robbery.
9mm with quality hollow points is the best carry round. Get +P rounds if running sub compact.

IMO It's all about revolvers. When shyt jumps off their isn't time to take off safety and cock guns back and worry about picking up shell casings. That's why I carry revolvers. I carry my Taurus 605 (which is a 357 Magnum) it fit right in my pocket and has more stopping power then 9mm and a glock 40. But that's just my opinion...they don't jam, they much faster in a bang out and they less messy. nikkas always talk avout carrying capacity but they released a statistics stating 80% of gun fights happen at 3 feet or closer...if you cant get a jigga up outta there in 6 shots or less, you deserve some sleep.
