@macpat amazon has the newer model of that tv for $30 cheaper

Amazon.com: VIZIO M3D550KDE 55-inch 1080p 120Hz LED Smart 3D HDTV: Electronics

With no taxes and free shipping you gonna save over $100 copping from amazon instead of walmart plus you get a newer model tv

Edit:nevermind just read your post about having to pay taxes in texas

I read the KDE is a money grab for Vizio. The 120 isn't really 120. Something called effective 120 and turning it off gives you shytty 60. The KD model seems the best but I can't find that one anywhere. I'm about to write this one off.

Welp,its about that time again

Looking to cop a new tv before the month is over

I want to wait til it gets closer to the superbowl to see what kinds of deals pop up

My price range this time around is $1500

I want a 60" but will settle for a 50" for the right price

My first question: Is the Samsung F8500 still the goat of its price range?

I own a 51" F8500 and its hands down the best tv ive ever owned.I want to get the 60" and move the 51" to my bedroom

Sears has the 60" for $1500 right now but im gonna wait and see if the price drops some more when all the superbowl deals start dropping

It was $1300 last year on superbowl weekend so hopefully i can get it for around that price

is there any other sets that I should be looking at in my price range?

What happened to Panasonic? Did they stop selling tvs?

Help me out brehs

Pic quality is very important to me.I need to know all the tvs in my range that has excellent pic quality

Edit: looks like the 60" F8500 is back up to $2500 at Sears :snoop:

Kinda regretting not pulling the trigger yesterday

Hopefully it'll go back on sale before the month is over :mjcry:

As far as Panasonic goes, they're done making Plasmas and they went out with a bang I have an ST and VT60's at home and people were so impressed when I first bought them , got 3 people which I know which ended up buying the ST60 after the PQ left them shook.

I had a ZT60 for about 2 weeks and returned it to cop the F8500

The Sammy was brighter and the colors popped more

Are there any tvs out now that rival the Panny and Sammy high end plasmas in pic quality?

Whats the price range for the 60"?

I have a 70 that I got for 1799 plus tax I beleive the 60 is 1299....Make sure your tv stand is long enough for it as you can only place the tv legs in 2 positions....Or if you hang it make sure to screw the bolts in tightly.
