Both my kids went to Spanish Immersion private schools when they were young. My son was in public school by 2nd and my daughter by Kindergarten. We moved to our town specifically because their Elementary school was 40% Black.

We will not send our kids to private schools. The things Black people have to give up and endure is too much of a cost. I work at an Ivy League university and I see the Black kids that go to these elite white spaces and it impacts them. We supplement his education with our own work, Russian Math and other ed camps. They are fine academically, but you can never get back positive Black experiences not do I want them risking being one of the only Blacks in Presominantly White Institutions.

TYRONE GA!
I have young kids. Unfortunately almost all of Atlanta schools are shyt. That’s the rich and poor areas.

My five year old started kindergarten this year. She is on the spectrum so the county provides a lot. Luckily her teacher is a 30 vet that is one of the best in the school.

We are currently praying for the best and will supplement their education with tutoring.

We had a planned move to Japan but that won’t happen. We will build a house within five years. The school rating will be a huge deciding factor in the location of our house.
I live in Fayette but even they redlining out here

Schools still good tho

We love Tyrone/Peachtree area for some reason. I guess less people. Haven’t looked at schools out there yet though. We thinking possibly Ellenwood Rex area. Country but still black

Me and @The_Sheff live in Tyrone. My neighborhood is mostly black. Around the corner from Sandy Creek.

We purposely chose to build new in a miltary city to guaratee diversity within the borders of the good highly rated school district. I spent times in other cities where I would go a day or two without seeing another black person. Maybe it was just the routes I was driving but that shyt is unsettling

school district is the #1 consideration everyone should be making whether you have kids or not. Why? property values will consistently go up if the school district is good. if great you could see 10-15% a year annual increases in home values. very important to increase net worth since you paying taxes

school district racial makeup should be #2 priority if your have kids

trick is to find a highly rated school that's not too white or too Spanish or too Indian. don't want your kid being a super minority ever.
