Final Cut Pro is my personal favorite video editing software

I know the shop I'm at now uses Edius and it's awful...wouldn't recommend it...and I've used Avid in the past...it's okay

I guess it really depends on what you are doing video editing wise...is it for professional use? or are you just editing some home movies together?...because top end video editing software isn't cheap.

nothing "major" but im looking to do short videos like interviews, soft news pieces etc something to put on a website and create a youtube channel im not going to make mini movies or production like that just enough to edit put a intro scene some music in the background, titles/fonts maybe small effects....

again im not a film student or looking to do big projects just something to put together 5 minute or so pieces

honestly if you just want something simple I think Edius while I dislike it is what you're looking for...the cheap ass station I work for now uses it...so there's no way it's that expensive...I think it's probably like 140

most of the other software I know about is more expensive.

but if you going to do video editing it's more important that you're hardware is up to snuff than your software

if you get good at editing you can make just about anything you want with any editing software...shyt back in the day I used to edit tape to tape and make it look just as crisp as the non linear equiptment we use today.

I'm just sayin, you should have made these things clear from the start. you come in here just asking for the 'best' and people are gonna point you to $600 software
