Can you truly say that the strip club environment is health for a woman's self esteem?

Depends. I can tell you that dancers have a healthier body image than the vast majority of women. The things that make other woman hide in shame ie stretch marks, cellulite, less than perfect bodies don't even cross a strippers mind. Woman in general are constantly told that their bodies are not good enough but being a stripper you quickly have a new appreciation for your body. You being a man I don't think you can full realize just how much pressure there is for women to look good and how completely exhausting that can be. Having that pressure taken off of you can literally add years to your life.

I know you guys seem to think that every man who comes into the strip club is some kind of abusive sexual pervert but most guys are simps. Most guys look at you with big eyes and tell you that you are the most beautiful thing they have ever seen. Half the men don't even touch you during the dance. Of course that also depends on the type of club you work in b/c they are not all created equal. Are there creeps? Yes absolutely, but the nice thing about this jobs is you can get up and walk away if you don't like how a guy is treating or tell him to fukk off. If you are comfortable with being naked, comfortable with people expressing sexuality towards you and work in a safe environment there is no reason that the job in general should cause self esteem issues.

I think the ACTUAL problem would not be with the line of work but they people who work in/around the club who take advantage of young girls. Older strippers tend to have their stuff together but the young ones tend to be the ones who are drunk, high, hoeing and what have you. A lot of times they have "pimps" who they don't even realize is their pimp (they are anyone from other girls, managers, people who hang around the club and so on) who get them hooked on drugs or take their money. Also they a lot of them don't have families who care about them or no other source of income so they have no choose but to rely on these shady people.

Anyway, do I think the club is "good" for a girl's self esteem, yes and no but not for the reasons people usually mention. I don't recommend it to anyone but I would be a liar if I told you that I didn't like my job or think that if could be beneficial.

It comes from insecurity and the rejection of the idea that they will not be able to control/dominate women. They don't think they have the ability or are worthy enough to actually acquire a mate who will be faithful to them or respects them through her own volition ie "if I can't dominate her I can't keep her." A "leader" (if that is what they want to be) is naturally followed and therefore if their theory that men are natural leaders is "true" then they will still be followed. In theory, a true man (leader) has nothing to fear from feminism (true feminism). The only ones in fear are the ones who are not actual "leaders."

You have a lot of interesting views and seem like a decent woman. Maybe one day you will see that your value is more then showing off your body to men that you see as losers.

my beef with feminism is the men-bashing. all this rape-culture, evil patriarchy, black male privilege talk is not my cup of tea. Everyone is entitled to their opinion but having said that, i don't have to like, protect, or even talk to anyone i don't want to. i gain nothing from talking to these types.

some say it's only the more radical that talk that way but it seems like mainstream feminism in 2014 is that radical ideology. it's kind of like Fox news and neo-cons. they talked so much shyt that the extreme right became the new center.

How can you have low self body esteem when every evening you're insecurities are alleviated by oceans of men paying you money to take off your clothes. Your self worth comes from your power to have thirsty men give you money and desire you for your body even if it has bullet wounds. Self esteem wise, as a stripper, there is nowhere to go but up. Your self worth, comes from men whos lust empowers you and at the same time whos pathetic behavior empowers you because the job caters to a mans weakness.

Says the nikka that appears to be listening to him :stopitslime:

I've been listening to Tariq for years, so I have no problem with what dude says.

But y'all nikkas are just parots lol. Y'all haven't formed an opinion on your own, you just recite what you heard him say.

You probably don't even an original thought on the subject :mjlol:
