The UK and other countries in general don't have as much free speech as America. There are hate speech laws and "public order" laws you can be charged with.

Yeah it's very different. I read that some white person in the UK put a racist doll (Jim Crow style caricature) in his window across the street from some Indian restaurant, and he was charged and fined for something to do with racist intimidation.
