Wow, I would've never thought the Saamaka language would be spread like that.
The Surinamese Maroon culture has been described as the best preserved piece of Africa outside of Africa. A good amount are still living in villages in the jungle, some of them open to visitors, might be interesting for y'all. There's indigenous villages like that as well. Beautiful nature too, you can go deep into the jungle. And the city of Paramaribo is cool, chill atmosphere, great food, decent nightlife. The tourism industry is still small, but if you're somewhat adventurous you'll enjoy yourself.
