I only ever use red onions. I stay away from that white. 


yep. I only got on red onions the past 3 months actually. shyt is a game changer.Red onions are a cheat code low-key. Their acidity is higher than the other breeds of onions and provides a nice little kick, pairs well with deli sandwiches and mexican style dishes.
I usually use white onions to make the base of my chili….
Yellow onions I usually use to make a base for Italian style dishes or soups
put them in a mason jar cover with red wine vinegar and some peppercorns and pop them in the fridge…yep. I only got on red onions the past 3 months actually. shyt is a game changer.

They sell a fajita mix sliced tri color peppers and red onion at Wegmans. We get it because it’s more convenient than chopping. But we almost never use the red onion. It doesn’t cook well at all. Red onion is good in salads.Cooked red onion
White onions taste better in Mexican, Mediterranean, and some Asian dishes and where you need raw onion (guacamole, salsa, burger, etc)
