I am telling you that a man need to be himself. He can only be himself. People will either accept a man for who he is or not. A man need to accept either outcome. But, there is no guarantee that a woman or anyone for that matter will an accept someone regardless of how they behave, act, do, etc. So, it is always best to be oneself. There are people out there who will accept a man for who he is good, bad or indifferent.
Challenge yourself to grow.

Being “yourself” is no excuse to not to grow up and grow outward.

No one told you here to change yourself.

Listening is a strength. Humbleness is a strength. Not fighting every “battle” based on your limited view of the world, even acknowledging that you could be wrong or taking a wrong approach even though you are successful in life is a strength. Making the person you decided to spend your life with feel special when she doesn’t feel or doesn’t act so special in the moment is a strength.

Be strong

Be strong

Let me tell you something..

First off, being oneself doesn't mean a person isn't growing, evolving to be a better version of oneself.

I will give you the benefit of the doubt that you don't know me, so I will not take what you have said personally.

I don't need advice on how to deal with women. I have a woman. She is happy with me and has accepted me for me. Our relationship is as strong & healthy as a relationship can be.

Now, in the past, I went through ups & downs. I have learned from my mistakes but I also learned what I want and don't want out of a relationship.

I don't know your romantic situation, but I can say with confidence they no man should resort to simping or tricking in order to be with someone. No person is worth that nonsense. But, if you feel that you need to be a simp or trick in order to get someone, then knock yourself out! It's your choice and your decision!

I will respectfully agree to disagree with you or any person telling other people what they need to do in order to get someone. All adults have choices. They need to figure it out on their own and if they choose to ask for advice, then cool. I just wouldn't advise any man or woman to be someone other than who they are. I am all about self love and self respect. People who are worthy will take notice and get with that person.

With your wisdom, what in this do you disagree with, and why did you add tricking when I or no one here ever used that term?

“A simp as I see it on listed on here, is someone who is willing to sometimes take a backseat to his lady. Someone who is willing to go above and beyond. Who is willing to STFU even if they are "right" and find another approach to get their point across, maybe another day, maybe a different tone. Not because they aren't pissed, but ultimately because they care about the greater good of the relationship. Willing to read about how to be a better spouse, talk to friends, listen to podcasts, go to therapy. Willing to turn down a baddie that no one would ever know about, no matter how hard it is in the moment, because they respect the one they are with. Willing to be with her when she is acting off, sad, having life issues for a few months, hair looking crazy, etc. Willing to take time off the grind to plot things to do with her that you don't even care about just to make her feel happy in the moment.”

I added tricking to the conversation because I wanted you and everyone else know what I will NOT do!

As for your definition of simping, I don't necessarily agree that your definition is the correct definition. However, I understand that people hold different connotations to the term, therefore I will not correct you..

Let's just say that a man should learn how to be diplomatic when dealing with women. Effective communication is paramount to having a successful relationship.

Me and my lady laid it all on the table from jump. We also came to a mutual understanding as to what will or will not be tolerated from one another. Since we did that, then we were able to enjoy each other's company without any drama til this day..

We haven't had not one argument and we are about to hit our 1 year anniversary together. We just came from a Vegas trip this past weekend and had fun together. No drama, no disrespect. Just fun, laughter and romantic interactions with one another.

So, based on my experience, I say that a person needs to love self, know what he or she wants, remain humble, be productive, have clear and attainable goals, communicate effectively and live a balanced life. Do the aforementioned and perhaps one will have a successful relationship. It's working for me as well as my lady. *shrugs*

I see what you were trying to get at but naw...

I think there is a sweet spot between simping and HOH. But no i wouldn't simp. Also, there's no such thing as the right woman to simp to. Any good girl could turn bad if you simp enough.

Last thing, you should be kind but still maintain your boundaries.
Perfectly said...u gotta understand boundaries in life...that's a social skill a lot of folks lack in...understanding as well as setting and respecting boundaries

That's also another simp attribute: not setting boundaries. "Yes honey, whatever you say" FOH
The fear is "I'm gonna lose the only woman in the world, the only woman that gave me play, if I don't 100% agree with her every word"
That mentality reeks of low self esteem and a lifetime of disappointment

You kept it real so I’ll be a little less facetious…

Obviously people do have to do what works for them. And what you say about the time you spent with your lady, having fun enjoying one another etc, while also what you said about being humble, productive, clear, caring etc is really what I’m talking about.

I feel like the things that should be normal and bring us enjoyment are now being framed as being a simp, a lame, etc, when those things within themselves aren’t bad, and a lot of us are hurt because we applied that to the wrong people, who by the way - a lot of us chase who is not for us because we don’t really know or don’t know how to fix the insecurities within ourselves.

The behavior that is permeating though the digital space, this space, our communities of how we treat what what we expect from women is getting to be destructive.

Of course you shouldn’t simp random chicks. Of course no wife wants her man to be a doormat.

But also, being humble and not applying celebrity and toxic advice from strangers and podcast dudes is a narrative that needs to be pushed more

I never said to do that…

Again, projecting

When did I say you said that?

To be clear, the square I'm standing on is never simp. Single, playing the game, dating, committed relationship, engaged, married is all the same to me: NEVER SIMP
I gave my definition of simping
You call it projecting, I call it reminders to self: NEVER DO THIS
Peace

^^ This guy has some of the most essential dating advice dealing with modern woman.

That guy, while one of the naturally funniest people I've ever heard, was a self destructive food addict that died because he wouldnt manage his diabetes worth a damn. He repeatedly worked with and defended known racists. He was someone that burned almost every bridge he had in the entertainment industry because of his anger and bull headedness, and the woman he picked to be with was a failed reality show cast member and is a manipulative gold digger that all of his friends can't stand to this day.

Is that someone you really want to dating advice from?

Stop idolizing these guys for what they said and look at how they actually lived.
