Coli Graphic Artists I Need Some Help(Video Graphics Programs)

Hopefully someone can help a breh out. What are some solid programs to use for adding graphics to videos? Stuff like adding a persons name under them during an interview(but not just plain text) with sponsor logos and shyt in the corners?

The best IMO is
Video editing: Sony Vegas and Adobe Premier. The Final Cut series is nice too if you are a mac person although some people believe they fell off
Special video effects: Adobe After Effects (Adobe AE)

For what you need (adding names and stuff) smaller software can be found which would require less intensive time but if you want to go deeper with it those are my reccomendations

If all you need to do is add names at the bottom of a video iMovie is more than enough. I have Final Cut Pro X and love it.
