Yall helped me select my washer and dryer...so I need fridge help. :lupe:

I want my kitchen to look more sleek and flush...but what do you recommend? :lupe:

Pros and Cons

Still need help deciding? Here’s an easy breakdown:
Counter Depth: Pros and Cons

Pros

  • Cleaner, more aesthetically-pleasing appearance
  • Provides more open space on your kitchen floor
  • Not as deep, but usually wider, allowing big trays and platters
  • Able to reach back of the fridge for buried items
Cons

  • Typically more expensive
  • Smaller capacity and storage
Standard Depth: Pros and Cons

Pros

  • More affordable than the counter depth
  • More models and options
  • Larger storage capacity
Cons

  • Juts out from cabinets
  • Takes up more kitchen space
  • Disrupts workflow

If you got a bigger kitchen standard size would work. Counter is a clean look, but I have a counter depth and definitely wish I had more size

Depends how much refrigeration space you need.
It's only my wife and I.

I can only see this becoming an issue wouldn't we have guests over for Thanksgiving since we will be hosting this year.

But I like the smaller space because I feel like it'll reduce waste and we will be more conscious of how much food we purchase etc

Wifey was attached to her old smudge free french door fridge but finally went counter depth..
I think thats the clear choice

There was a shortage of space during the holidays/visitors..
But that's like 5 days out of the year

we bought a chest freezer from costco and keep it in the garage..
I also keep a short fridge in my home office for all my drinks (which doubled as overflow during the holidays)
We also have a dorm mini fridge in the .. Dont know what you call the room between the master bedroom and bathroom.. Where Wifey does makeup with a long counter.. But that dorm style fridge holds more drinks and her frozen bon bon things :mjlol:

...but i think counter depth with a chest freezer is the winning upgrade combo

We may need more space for holidays and visitors but that's all.
