I would say look for a place to stay inside the 610 loop, preferably close to the Galleria area.Going to Houston in the summer with some friends. We're looking to book our bnb now though. Its the first time for all of us.
What area should we be looking in as far as good food, nightlife, and a good amount of our fellow skinfolk? I know Houston is huge, so we dont want to be too far away from the airport. 30-40 minutes the most. But if the area is extra poppin as far as food and nightlife, we'll travel out a little more.
Also is Gavelston worth the trip to the beach and pier? Thats on our to-do list if its worth it.
And where can we find mechanical bull riding?
Whats a good Houston party promoting IG page to follow, to know about the parties and events that will be happening?

Both airports are good. Hobby is more closer to the city.
Staying anywhere within the 610 looploop put you in a decent enough spot. Houston isn't much of a tourist city honestly. But like others and said go ahead and skip the Galveston trip unless y'all just want to take a ride or go visit the Space Center as it's out that way. There is also a bunch of museums here if y'all into that.

Saturday: LiveOak(day party)/The Address(day party or night scene)/Faces/Therapy/
Sunday daytime:Bar 5015, Live Oak, The Address (evening)
Also there is a shytload of places to eat. I honestly wouldn't know where to start with that.

Its closer to the nightlife. You want to be on the midtown/downtown area. That's where everything is going on.

Yeah... As crowded as it is down here the nightlife aint poppin like Atl or Mia. This is a business town built on oil and gas and other parts of the energy industry.

My family is from/in Louisiana and I visit multiple times a year. The heat doesn't phase me .
The bugs tho
Except they're things to do and see in those cities . Houston is not that kind of town.
Nightlife can be ok, just stay away from them white folks .
If the Rockets make a deep playoff run, it could be a lot more interestin/fun

The nightlife is what you make it. There’s always something going on but it all depends on what kinda crowd you looking for. The clubs sucks but there are some popping bars/lounges.
