Philly is like a second home to me.
Very walkable, affordable, good food.

One thing that takes some gettin used to is how close together everything is.
Small streets, row homes, etc...
If youre from the Northeast youre used to it...
but if you grew up anywhere else its going to feel cramped.

I also love how close it is to NYC, Bmore, DC, etc...

with that said the drugs are out of control.
the city seems to be poorly ran.
Just getting your trash picked up seems like a chore.

Damn near every top city list this guy makes has Philly and Pittsburg at the top

Timestamped:
Pittsburgh is #3, Philly is #2

I've never been to Pittsburgh, but I've enjoyed Philly as well as Philly suburbs such as King of Prussia (is that considered a philly suburb even tho its like 30 minutes out?)

NYC (but PGH will forever be home)
I have grown up in both cities (8yrs+ in each). As someone mentioned before, it really is an 'Apples to Oranges' conversation i.e. East coast vs. Midwest.

However, being in NYC for the past decade, I much prefer visiting PGH.

Philly just feels like a 2nd/3rd tier east coast city, just slightly above Baltimore. PGH, on the other hand, feels like a breath of fresh air- people are generally nicer, much cleaner city, etc.

That being said, the high-end suburbs in Philly absolutely sh*t on the ones in PGH.

Yea, those mainline cities seem pretty good. Housing seems much more affordable than Jersey right now. Or least North Jersey
