Well dressed just means that whatever you're wearing is clean, not wrinkled and not over the top. Jeans and t-shirt can be well dressed casual, add a sweater or a jacket it moves to fashionable switch to shirt then it's smart casual, tuck in the shirt and add a belt with good quality shoes then its back to fashionable but smart casual....

Personal opinion: guys in overly fashionable clothing is a weird thing. He reads more fashion magazines than you and will probably spend more time in front of the mirror than you....those are the thoughts I get.

I don't like the first one, too many shades of a dark colour; navy blazer with black shirt and charcoal trousers....also doesn't fit him right, he seems too large for the outfit
