Sent the coworker an email this morning. 3rd month in a row. He keeps still speaking Spanish in our office when he knows I frown upon it. Spanish is his native language, I can't complain too much but he knows that I do not appreciate it. When he speaks Spanish, he doesn't catch himself and apologizes to me or says "whoops." i.e. If I'm around a child and I say "fukk" I would catch myself and say I'm sorry and cover my mouth.. like I made an error, I cursed around a child.

He told my supervisor about the email. Supervisor told me the next thing is to go HR about it and get an official word. We're going gonna by "What's in the employee policy and producer manual." I'm scared that no mention of Spanish speaking in an English founded and ran company will be mentioned. The ordeal is such a niche subject, probably nobody has made such a big deal of it.

Also scared that it's going to come back and bite me in the butt. I'm in the wrong, deal with it. The HR will say there's nothing we can do and just let the Hispanic, Spanish speaking person do it... Let him be the rude and impolite person.

Yeah, the others have now stopped. If they do speak Spanish, it's because the one encouraged them into it.

Later on in the day, I got great news though :win: ( :ninja2: )
HR said there's no rules in the employee manual but it is indeed rude and not proper etiquette. Hopefully it'll be fully stopped shortly, after...

Thanks for replying to me, porque

Edit: If my coworker was reading this thread, they would know it's me. Would be horrible. Although, there's like a 1% chance :P
