I'mma keep it real with you.... You're not going to make much more money with Spanish unless you own your own business that caters to Spanish-speaking people or teach English in Spanish speaking countries. The Latinos have a monopoly over the good jobs that pay extra for Spanish fluency and they aren't coming off those jobs.

Go with Japanese or one of the other Asian languages.
Most people aren't going into business where they will be dealing with Chinese people ANYWAY.

Learning Spanish has a more direct every day benefit.

No that's not entirely true.

Spanish is U.S most spoken language next to english. If you haven't noticed most big businesses in America have areas that cater to spanish speakers only.

Having spanish as a second language from a business standpoint is a plus.

I agree that Spanish has that everyday benefit.... but the US government and international businesses are paying good money for fluent Chinese and Arabic speakers. You can't find those everywhere.

Especially if one would start out as a small business owner in the southwestern United States.

Tbh, I wouldn't learn a language because of business and all that other bullshyt. That's how nikkas end up unhappy, study the language of a culture that you're genuinely interested in.

It makes life far more enjoyable and way less stressful.

I wouldn't learn it just for business either but it's a requirement to graduate, breh. lol. I can teach myself more Spanish, no problem, but I am actually interested in Japan and India. Besides those 2, most of the other countries i want to go to are predominantly English speaking.

Well don't make a thread coming off as a prick if you have a genuine interest in something :snoop:

In India they have many languages, but they hold their parliament meetings in English, I believe it's because that's the 1 language they can all agree on.

India is cool, really cool.

i wouldn't call myself a polyglot but i'm learning arabic .. i can speak read/speak/write english and spanish and i wanted to learn a new language where it was completely foreign to me, where i couldn't even try to pronounce a word because i didn't know how to to pronounce a letter ..

i do like arabic. i'm only doing it cause i want to, not because of job reasons or anything like that.

"What languages are actually worth learning" come on my nikka, you sound like an @sshole:usure:

well, i am an a$$hole. but that's not an illegitimate question, breh. i'm going to take years to learn other languages and pay to do so. i'm curious about what other people think. one dialect of chinese is probably more beneficial than another. maybe some shyt is poppin off in denmark and it might be a good idea to learn their shyt. if i'm never going to go to france, is it worth learning french just to sound like a dikk in certain restaurants?
