However: no Barcelona is a real loss and adding the Saudi-Arabian teams likely really lowers the quality of competition. I’ll still watch key games though.

Also: the Gold Cup starts the same day and you know the South-American teams will play with passion. I expect nothing from the US (embarrassing what is happening with that squad, 0 players from European competitions) and not too much from Canada but I think we will see fireworks from other countries.

Yeah, those weren't real competitions though, it was like 4 teams and shyt like that and some teams not even participating. Or teams playing backups and shyt. This is the first time it's been a full competition with 32 teams.

Also, how big of a mismatch we'll see between UEFA and Conmebol. I know most southamericans teams want to do well and this comes halfway through the season so conditioning is basically the only advantage they have
