Coli, what are your thoughts on South Florida (Broward/Miami-Dade)?

I'll be relocating to Miami from Los Angeles next month for essentially three years w/ a nice salary bump.


While I actually prefer the tropical, humid climate of Miami... I'm going to miss L.A.


I'm going to be living in Wynwood and working in Brickell. A big pro about the relocation is I'll be able to save a considerable amount w/ much lower COL in MIA compared to L.A.


However, I don't know what to expect leaving arguably the GOAT U.S. region temporarily... SoCal.

You are going to live in a predominantly white and hispanic area. Brickell is very congested and it's difficult to find parking. When it rain heavily, its a flood zone.

Central Florida

no one has ever said Central Florida >>> South Florida.

Central Florida is nice because of the Hills. Clermont is beautiful. Orlando has some hilly elevation in the city limits as well. On the westside. But overall, I'm a fan of the Mediterranean/Spanish Revival architecture of SoFla better. SoFla easily has my favorite residential styles in the nation. I like Spanish style and pastel colored homes....pause.
