Coli, what are your thoughts on South Florida (Broward/Miami-Dade)?

I'll be relocating to Miami from Los Angeles next month for essentially three years w/ a nice salary bump.


While I actually prefer the tropical, humid climate of Miami... I'm going to miss L.A.


I'm going to be living in Wynwood and working in Brickell. A big pro about the relocation is I'll be able to save a considerable amount w/ much lower COL in MIA compared to L.A.


However, I don't know what to expect leaving arguably the GOAT U.S. region temporarily... SoCal.

Wynwood is very hipster-ish... decent nightlife, decent apartments

You in a good area (good for Miami without being crazy expensive)

I honestly want to move back someday. If i could find a gig out there i would immediately.

Its whatever...last I remember it was cool but still hood and uppity at the same time. Mostly latinos but a lot of Caribbean blacks and AA’s.

A large portion of my friend base is out there.

i feel you. it's definitely not the most hood place i been to, even in spots like lil haiti/hieleah, but it definitely seems like a place where you have to be smart or you're gonna get finessed or worse.

i've heard good things about broward... but living in miami, i'm all about proximity to work. minimizing that commute as much as possible.

I used to go back in the day like 05' to south beach it was so poppin

now south beach is tired and worn down and super ratchet

then i started going to Brickell which is cool but not really my vibe ....

To me miami lost its luster but also im older and i actually enjoyed being in Ft. Lauderdale/Hollywood more than Miami

all and all i enjoy the food more than anything

Wynwood is the perfect place to be if you living the bachelor life. Brickell has a lot of posh happy hour spots where you can stop by after work, grab great food and drinks for cheap and meet young professional women. Like other brehs suggested get your concealed weapons permit.

Then again Im not one of those scary ass nikkas that get anxiety around hood nikkas and can go damn near anywhere with no problems (unless i'm surrounded by cacs). I like saltwater fishing, island food, bad bytches, and warm weather

You just learn to navigate through the shyt. Out of towners and residents will always tell you bout their time in South florida. Always hot, thotties upon thotties and the fukkery never stops
