Colin is to arrogant to admit that he was dead wrong about the kid and should apologize........ His conceit won't allow him to humble himself to the point where Wall's name won't pass his lips.........

I dont have a problem if Cowherd doesnt like a guy. However, he just uses faulty logic to justify it. Instead of stepping back and saying..."eh John Wall turned out better than I thought" and move on.....instead he's doubled down with the hate.
He pointed out Wall dancing his first home game as way of poor judgement and that he's a selfish guy. When Wall struggled some his first couple of years he would always point out the time that he danced. When Wall started to play well he would still question his judgement and cite the fact his dad died is the reason he wont succeed. Anytime push back came his way he'd find another way to bring about criticism. He had trouble admitting that his initial stance was so obtuse that he's looking for any reason to knock him.
He kills Wall for being a low percentage shooter and high turnover guy. Yet, he always talks about point guards should be pass first. Wall averages 10 assists.....he focuses on turnovers. He mentions other star players being inefficient when they are asked to carry their team more but ignores that when it comes to Wall.
Loved Rondo when his jumper was broke, but racked up assists, but disliked Wall.
Loved Kyrie when he couldnt lift the Cavs to the playoffs because of the terrible talent around him. Yet, never acknowledges the Wizards had guys like Nick Young, Javale, Blatche, etc. Suddenly Wall's true point guard skills dont matter when it comes to him....he switches up to now it just matters about how well you shoot.
Knocks John Wall for not making it past the 2nd round in 5 years. But ignores the talent he played with his first few years, the fact if he didnt break his hand (which he still came back to play basketball) they would have made the ECF. Yet, cites Chris Paul as an ideal pg even though he never made it to the WCF.
He knocks Wall for a "gang sign". Yet, talks about Paul Pierce leadership. Even though Paul threw up a sign to Al Horford in the playoffs. Thats much worse.
The main rebuttal is simple to Colin Cowherd's rants about John Wall. Its LeBron James.
1. He mentions that a lack of father and poor upbringing is why Wall will never be a star. Yet, LeBron proved that you can still be a great basketball player despite your upbringing.
2. He knocks Wall for dancing in his first home game. Yet, LeBron did that repeatedly to opponents and mocked them.
3. He says Wall never made it out of the 2nd round in 5 years shows a lack of leadership. It took the amazing LeBron 4 years.
4. He knocks Wall for having friends around him he grew up with. LeBron did the exact same thing. Hell all these guys have entourages that there for a benefit. No reason to diss his crew because one of them got into an argument on a plane.
Obviously Wall isnt LeBron. But thats the point. Whatever Wall lacks as a basketball player....is the only real criticism he should make, but at least be consistent with whatever ideal criteria for pgs you attribute to other guys. This is the problem for black QBs in the the NFL. The perception that since someone isnt as great or as good as someone else there MUST be something wrong with his behavior, background, or mental makeup. Wall isnt as good as Steph Curry. Its because he cant shoot as well. Not because he grew up with a rougher childhood. Stop trying to throw out these psychological, environmental breakdowns with no substance on why certain African American players succeed and some dont. The criticism should strictly stay on the court unless Wall does something off the court (i.e HE gets in trouble with the law, etc. etc) If he was more on point, consistent, concise with his arguments...it would be worth listening too. Especially since his initial argument didnt stem from that.
Just say you dont like his ass and move the fukk on.
