Keep this in mind

Jorge Sedano is on his show right now, and he does a show with Mark Schlereth

Contrast listening to these dudes, who personally I can't take for more than a couple minutes without turning the station due to boredom, with listening to Colin. It's not about whether you "agree" because nobody who talks for hours a day about topics we're all passionate about is going to just state point-for-point exactly how you feel about everything. It's about whether it's interesting. It takes skill to keep people's attention just talking over the radio.

Say what you want about Colin but he actually makes some very interesting and observant arguments. I been listening for about 6-7 years so I'll miss hi but I figured he was gonna leave after Simmons left. He was really pissed and wasnt following the ESPN mantra. He was going off script more often than not and said numerous times that he doesnt like anyone at the company (Simmons was an exception. They genuinely respected one another and you can tell they enjoyed each other's company when they interviewed) and trashed the suits pretty much calling them idiots. Too much fukkery at ESPN to even take serious nowadays. That Bruce Jenner science project receiving that Arthur Ash Courage Award pretty much shows you where that company is headed and I want no parts of it.

Sports radio is weird because it's based on random ass opinions of people that are just as far away from the sport as we are.

The difference between a coli poster and them is zero. Tell me something about the strategy involved in the game.

Saying a player will never win is by far the easiest lane in sports. You can automatically troll their fans everyday. Downplay anything they do positive in the regular season by saying they can't do it when it counts. But if they play bad say...This is the reason they'll never win

It's brilliant :lolbron:

:skip:

I'd rather listen to a breakdown of what happened than someone pretending they have seen the future.

I can reverse that and say that I've seen more than enough articulate and well put together arguments that colin backs up with stats and facts that have completely destroyed many of other people's empty or fan boy arguments. I'm not saying I agree with everything he says, but due to his attitude and delivery people tend to overlook his opinions and automatically hate on him. To each his own :yeshrug:

Truth!
He relies on anecdotal evidence. That's not empirical evidence bruh. He can't stand layered and studied facts that counter his nicely woven visual evidence. Second, he's not consistent. He lacks principles...jumping in and out of it. But for folks like you where that doesn't matter, you won't see my point and would rather dumb it down to a fad when he's questioned. Folks love arm chair quack theories.

Ehh....Not sure about him relying on anecdotal evidence. He spits out more statistics/empirical evidence on a daily basis than any sports radio host I've heard (sometimes too much). I would say he has a decent balance of anecdotal and empirical balance. I agree he has tendencies to manipulate his audience, but what radio host doesn't? Sports radio is all opinion based to begin with. It comes with the job.

You say he "lacks principles". What principles does he lack? What is he "jumping in and out" of?? That whole statement is subjective.

Give me some clear examples.

Not sure? He's not bringing out studies. :laff:

He's the anecdotal evidence King. I don't care if it's sports. Armchair psychology is armchair psychology. All he does is a great job of telling the story which I don't deny. But theres always been good story telling Devils, breh.

I'm not putting aside my intelligence for sports talk. Dudes think sports talk gives them license for fraudulence and fail. :heh:

I'm not a fan of Cowherd, but anything that creates competition for ESPN is good.Doesn't even matter if I like the stuff that becomes the competition.

Fox is the only entity that really can pull it off and has the real want to to pull it off imo.

Dont think it will be comp for espn

They will always be the worldwide leader in sports

Most people dont even know what channel fox sports is on

Espn just to mainstream

He does have a lot of anecdotal evidence, but I feel that he doesn't rely on it. Big difference. The stats that he references are from studies though lol. Not saying he is the one that did the actual experiment, but the stats aren't made up.

He clearly relies on it. If he isn't relying on truths backed by empirical evidence, then what is he relying on? :heh:

Problem is Cowherd supports the Jenner science project- I wish just one commentaror would point out that the emperor is naked for once.
