I think they scrubbed them from the internet, but in his hey day, I remember Kap agreeing to endorse products/appear in ads because the youth of America loved him. Smiling, grinning from ear to ear, non threatening, photogenic athlete.

He was damn near the face of the league for a two year stretch. Youth of all colors rocked with him, including whites. Good clean All American QB, with an edge and team success. Brands embraced him to promote their products.

Wouldn't THAT have been a better example for him to use as a non threatening Black man that was embraced and promoted to white America?

HIMSELF?

You talking about that 2014 season?

Kap said "characters assimilate or conform". How in God's green Earth did Urkel conform or assimilate? Because he was intelligent, nerdy, corny at times, that made him assimilate or conform? Steve's whole family (Winslows), life, women he liked, best friends, bringing Johnny Gill, New Edition, Freddie Jackson to sing (white folks don't know about Johnny Gill or Freddie Jackson like that), that's all black. I NEVER saw Urkel as a white based character. He was culturally black all day. Urkel even had Laura's back when the white kids sprayed ****** on Laura's locker. Kap is reaching.

Now Carlton... he was questionable in the beginning but as seasons went on, he became less of a Bryant Gumbel joke character and more of a Black Republican type of dude, who again had a Black family, pledged a Black frat, was into Black women, went on Soul Train, etc. Storyline wise, I like to think him going to jail over driving too slow changed him. But nothing was really c00ning about Carlton (especially after the 1st season), even if you thought he conformed or assimilated. He was just corny and a nerd.

And I never knew white America "made" Carlton or Urkel. Those characters are beloved in the black community as well as everywhere else. Now JJ, that's a different subject.

Where does his "paint-by-numbers-hyperspeed Black militancy" come from?

Did it come from his adoptive white Kaepernick family?

It couldn't have been from his white, biological mother Heidi Russo (where the European nose comes from).

For most Black folks of a certain era and age, nobody gives a damn what white folks think about Carlton or Uerkel, nor do we center our appreciation of those characters on white perceptions.

Colin has no nurturing Black experiences in his upbringing to understand these nuances.

I never endorsed Clinton. Here is a word you probably don't know and should look up because you clearly don't know what it means.

Definition of NUANCE

I know what it means.. And you want to use the word in regards to assessing two white men? That's your job to dress these racists up and present them before the people..

Whatever my brothers and sisters are crying about in the community during election time is usually who I vote for.. They probably need the governments help more than me..
