He isn't wrong, per se. You can absolutely tell there's elements from the auction blocks that come to the surface when it comes to the black players. You still hear the language used by a majority of these cacs when describing black males that do extraordinary things on the field.

They're on their feet all day doing hard manual labor, they're monitored by leads and supervisors (overseers) to make sure they're doing their work satisfactorily, they're told when they can go to the bathroom or on breaks, etc.

Nah. He was talking about the assessing of fitness, the auction block style, the comparison of men to beasts of labor, the financial value assigned for the completion of physical tasks in a certain a manner.

If your job told you and all your majority black co-workers to strip down to compression shorts and run, lift and jump while your your 100% white management all made comparisons of you to beasts of burden and determined your value based on this, then yeah I would say your job has a slave auction vibe to it.

NFL is not slavery, never was never has been. But if you dont see how one looks like the other, then you simply dont see it.
