The folk talking about it was between $60-$80M :wow:

Can anyone confirm?

$100+ Million

Shoutout to the dude who said $100 million ainta shyt to nfl owners. They had no problem with making Kap a $100+ million dollar man. Not even countin what Nike paid him. $$$$$$$ Kap bout to break bread with the black community. Great business move. Shoutout to the nfl for bowing down. The Superbowl had the lowest ratings ever this year due to the black community boycotting on the behalf of Kap and the silence of the nfl on police brutality against unarmed black people

95% of civil cases are settled out of court
Not seeing how that’s applicable to what I said. Most ‘settle out of court’ scenarios are the equivalent to paying a speeding ticket without going to court.

Social justice is lucrative in 2019, brehs. What was Kaep gonna do? Lobby for some 3rd string job? FOH. Get a formal apology? FOH. Bring the institution of the NFL to screeching halt? FOH.

This settlement might as well be an admission of guilt. The NFL willfully froze a man out of work for his political views. Kaep came out at LEAST $60 Million richer. Which is SIGNIFICANTLY more than he woulda made off any contract he was about to get. Protected his body from years of damage AND secured the bag.

You can have integrity and get what you are owed at the same time, brehs.

But on the real, I ain't watched the NFL in 4 seasons. :manny:

Kaepernick Lawyer Predicts A Team Will Sign QB Soon

After reaching a settlement with the NFL on his collusion case earlier this week, Colin Kaepernick could be nearing a return to the league, his lawyer Mark Geragos said in an interview on CNN, Mike Freeman of Bleacher Reports tweets.

“I think you’re going to see within the next two weeks someone is going to step up.”

In addition to making that statement, he mentioned that three teams could have interest, namely the Panthers. Whether he is speaking from knowledge of the situation, which he obviously has, or just making the claim, is unknown at this moment.

before the settlement...
bubu this is bigger than football, he like Ali in his prime with the efforts and consciousness

after...
bubu you can't pay bills with integrity and activism
bubu we already know the owners are racist...but he still wants to play?

Clearly too many Black folks have made their peace with living under white supremacy

nah. He wasn't getting magazine covers and politicians co-signs because he couldn't get a NFL job. The settlement showed he lacks integrity because he was willing to embrace all the narratives and comparisons to real heros, but folded and is willing to be silent, the moment he had a chance to cash out
