Dude right

A Jaws is a QB guru who studies every QB in the league said Kap was gonna be the best ever

After the season he had I can't just believe he fell off like that he is a good QB

Harbough went awol his last season in San Fran had something to do with it too

People forget this, Kap set records, ran GB stupid in the playoffs, was a true dual threat so yeah he struggled naturally when they took that away along with a lame duck coach in Harbaugh that the front office couldn't wait to force out and tried to make it seem mutual, then brought in a straight up yes man to replace him and refused to make any adjustments outside of benching Kap who was hurt btw. Either way, it's almost impossible for me to believe somebody that talented all of a sudden forgets how to play football. If you really watch objectively you could see the trainwreck from a mile away. The front office got their new stadium and a super bowl hosting shot and said fukk success let's put mario and luigi outchea and save money and cash these checks.

kap got 19 per year and was the 6th highest paid QB in the league when he signed.

Matt Stafford is ranked 20th in QB salaries

right about where he deserves based on his play and stats.

QB's STILL run the read option. they just have to be more obvious that they aren't running if they don't want to be hit. If he can take the hits then he should not run and learn how to throw the damn ball.

also...since we are quoting coaches

Rivera said Tuesday he sided with the league on the view of when a quarterback is free game to be hit.

"The biggest thing we talk about ... is how the quarterback has to react," Rivera said,
via ESPN.com. "If the quarterback hands the ball off and surrenders, basically stops, then he should not be hit.

You are a moron

Riveria says he should not be hit

that's why the stop running it because you can hit the QB even after the hands the ball off

Matthew Stafford has a 3 year 53 million when he first started

He took a pay cut on his extension because he sucks

yet he's not held accountable for not producing, he's never had the success Kap had.

You don't know shyt about football, you are probably one of those idiots who played draft kings

Riviera agreed with the rule as it is. Do you just argue for the sake of it?

Go read what the fukking rule is.

If you watched objectively you could see he never was a great passer and never improved on it

Never said he was, but neither are lots of starting qbs, Gabbert especially.
so what does that say if Gabbert is beating out Kap?

you REALLY think they wanted to play Gabbert after giving Kap all that money??

they wanted him to be their starter, but they also wanted him to improve and get better.....he didn't.

EVERY QB in the NFL can make some good throws. They aren't bad players. they are the best of the best at the end of the day. They can all make great plays.

What allows an NFL QB to sustain a solid career is consistency making good throws. We can all find plays of the worst NFL QB's making great throws.

They didn't want Kaep, that much can't be disputed. Didn't even want to get his shoulder fixed. That's not protecting an asset. They wanted him out as soon as Harbaugh left, I can't explain why they do what they do. I'm not even sure they know why they do the shyt they do.

Dude, they have been wanting to get rid of Kaep since last year. ON top of that, Kaep started throwing 3 weeks ago after not throwing for almost a year. Gabbert has had way more time with the offense, building chemistry with the players. Kaep also hurt his arm too, so his first game came in week 3 of preseason. Gabbert didn't beat him out. He got the job by default.

I think Baalke wants nothing to do with Kaep, but Chip wants him...or at least he used to want him.

bruh, I think Gabbert is a bum, and I think Kap is better than him. but that doesn't mean shyt cuz I think Kap is not much better.
He needs to get better passing from the pocket and his overall accuracy.

the thing is, if you think your team is only good enough right now to win 6 games with Gabbert but Kap will get you 7-8 games....who do you go with?

the 19 million dollar guy or the cheaper guy?

just from a business standpoint?

and continue to build the team get younger and better for the future?

now...if they think Kap WILL get better(like they did when he signed) then yea, you ride with him. but if you think his progress has stagnated or leveled, then yea, it just might be time to let him go.

I actually agree with you to an extent, difference is, with Kap I think with Kelly's system he'd be a much better fit but the key is to actually build a team which we aren't doing. So if they're going to blow up the team and start from scratch then they should have gotten rid of him before last season because now unless he plays and plays well then it's just wasted money but it's also dumb because we have more cap space than any other team if I'm not mistaken.

When Kelly went there I thought it was a good move and that that uptempo style could actually be good for Kap as it would keep defenses off balance and he'd be able to get away more with what he does.
I don't think they are in blow it up mode though, I do think they are doing a rebuild. Factoring what they have that is good and worth keeping, and getting rid of the stuff they don't see in their long term plans.

if they honestly feel that Kap is in their long term plans then they should keep him regardless of what he makes while the rest of the team gets better through the draft and FA.
I think Kap needs to have a chance in this offense to prove that he has that potential(which I HATE saying for a guy 6 years in the league) to improve and run this offense with success. Kelly has done a good job with mediocre QB's in the past so Kap has that chance.

Its only wasted money if they don't feel he's part of their future plans. Injuries happen, shyt happens. You don't throw away key players that you feel will help you win games. however you do trim the fat if you don't think he can.

Kaep was over coached. Had huge potential then they started tweaking shyt, trying to make him true with touch, etc. they should've just let him rip it.

Then his team and his body disintegrated before his eyes.

I still fukk with Kaep. This stuff just makes me know he was a real one to begin with. Raised by whites but still knows the truth

His deal is really team friendly actually as it's structured like a bunch of 1-year deals. He left a lot of wiggle room to bring on more players which they didn't do. His actual cap hit isn't that high so there's not much need to rebuild like we're doing, we just refuse to go after free agents. They like to build through the draft it's just that they're terrible at drafting. But yeah i agree with your post.
